Positive Feedback Loop


Magical things happen when you start taking care of your body, day after day, week after week, starting small and building momentum.


Habit stacking works! One good decision at a time, slowly and gently…

Major changes happen one bite at a time, one move at a time…then it is forever…

Positive changes snowball naturally, create positive feedback and become automatic behaviour changes that then will last a lifetime.


There is absolutely NO MAGIC TRICKS though, it’s things that we do every day, showing up for our selves the best we can.

For me (and you might be different of course), it is easier to start with mastering the physical body first, creating and maintaining health. When you feel better, you take healthy action which makes you feel better and on and on.

Mastering your physical body is definitely a positive step towards long-lasting positive changes in your psychology.


Plan

So here is my proposal to you for these 6 weeks ...to start taking control of your physical body, to unlock the positive feedback of automatic healthy behaviours.


Soo so simple and trivial but as I said, there are NO MAGIC TRICKS, these steps below absolutely work and will be transforming your health one good decision at a time:


Step 1 – Sleep

-          During these 6 weeks we will correct your sleep patterns – get up earlier and go to bed earlier.

I want you to be up between 5am and 6am and to go to sleep by 9.30 to 10pm.

Step 2 – Nutrition

During these 6 weeks we will abide by these simple rules:

-          Eat 3 real meals per day, no snacking.

-          Eat when you are hungry, you will eventually start getting hungry at the same times

-          No refined or processed foods

-          Eat mainly whole foods

I will totally guide you and we will come up with the personalised diet based on Ayurvedic principles and your Body Constitution and any current imbalances, but nothing too complicated or restrictive, promise

Step 3 – Exercise

-          We are made to move, so I’d like you to get to 8,000 – 12,000 steps per day. If you are currently very sedentary, we’ll progress slowly, maybe adding extra 1,000 steps to what you are doing now every couple days.

-          Id’ like you to sweat every day – whatever you need to do here – we’ll come up with a plan

Step 4 – Sunshine

-          Daily exposure to the sun – at least 20 minute, preferably morning or late afternoon

Step 5 – Something for your Mind

-          Read 10 pages of a book, meditate, write in a journal, sit 10 minutes outside with a cup of tea – I will be checking 😊

Well, that’s about it really, and you absolutely don’t need me to start implementing these very simple things 😊


However, if you’d like to take it up a notch and have me there in your ear for these 6 weeks and beyond, keeping you accountable, providing guidance and support and applying my Ayurvedic knowledge and experience to help with your individual health goals, here is my

Week 1 – Initial Ayurvedic Consultation and assessment, goal setting and treatment protocol finalisation + your first 90min full body massage treatment (2.5 hours)

-          Goal for this week – detailed health assessment and goal setting, your first body treatment will aim to release muscle tension, balance nervous system and provide lymphatic drainage

Week 2  -  Lymphatic Detox Treatment (2.5 hours)

-          Goal for this week – identify barriers for new habits implementation and adjust plan if required; this week you might experience symptoms of detoxification like tiredness, sleepiness, weakness, could be some body aches – but not to worry, we’ll make sure we thread carefully and gently

-          Body Treatments will be directed on deeper detoxification to promote lymphatic flow and waste elimination with providing further tension release.

Week 3 – Udwartana Herbal Powder massage plus Steam (2 hrs)

-          Goal for this week – By now, we should start seeing some clear patterns – where do we fall short and we do successes lie – we’ll tweak and keep on going – few steps back, few steps forward  - it’s all good and part of life 😊

-          Body Treatments will be directed for further moving that stagnant Kapha to promote lightness in the body and improve detoxification pathways

Week 4 – Pinda Swedana Full Body Massage (2 hrs)

-          Goal for this week – steady steady, keep on track

-          Body Treatments – you are in for a treat – by far the best treatment – full body massage with herbal heated bags – keep moving stagnation, fantastic tension release, lubrication and nourishing of nervous endings – just overall bliss

Weeks 5 & 6 – Shirodhara Treatment (1.5 hrs each)

-          Goals for the last two week – just keep on going and moving from strength to strength, consistency is the key, consistency is everything; keep on stacking these multiple positive feedback loops

-          Body Treatments – now it’s the perfect time to give our nervous system support with this queen Ayurvedic treatment Shirodhara – warm oil will be flowing over your third eye (forehead area) for an hour which will induce a state of deep relaxation.

Shirodhara is an Ideal treatment for reducing high levels of mental stress. It induces calmness and promotes tranquillity. Perfect treatments to support you through these last two weeks of habit formation

 

What to expect:

-          Getting started is the hardest part; this will certainly get you started and having me in your corner will keep you accountable for every goal we set

-          During these 6 weeks, synergy will be created where one good habit supports another – we just need to start (this is the hardest part for people, I find)

-          You will be empowered to continue with these new positive habits and 6 weeks is enough to set you up for success.

-          Once you start feeling better, slimmer, more toned, more focused, less fatigued, brighter eyed, clearer skinned, you won’t want to look back – it’s all uphill from here.

-          You will feel more vibrant, alive, and joyful – well, that’s my ultimate goal for you during these 6 weeks

-          You will enjoy the process as well, let’s not forget about weekly absolutely blissful body treatments that are so beneficial for body, mind and spirit – that’s how Ayurveda works – the whole person holistic approach.

-          I will hold a safe, easy and light energy space for you, I love doing that…

-          You will learn so much about Ayurveda and how to apply it’s principles to your individual Body and Mind Constitution (knowledge is power and ultimate and lifetime investment in yourself)

-          Every session we will also have a check in with your goals to keep you on track and accountable and make necessary adjustments to the protocol.

-          Daily Q&A via Whats App / text if any doubts at all – I am absolutely here for you
