70min Abhyanga (Full Body Massage) followed by 20min Herbal Steam in our Steam Box • Full Body massage (Abhyanga) performed with warm black sesame oil or herbal infused oils depending on client’s needs. Massage is performed with long strokes of pressure as required for the client’s condition and is a means for transdermal absorption of the healing properties of herbal oils. • Ayurvedic massage is a combination of relaxation, stimulating, bodily system balancing, marma, meridian and lymphatic drainage massage Full body massage is followed by the steam in our authentic steam box. “Bashpa” means steam and “Swedana” means to sweat or perspire. Bashpa Swedana consists of applying herbal steam evenly to your body as you sit comfortably in a wooden steam box. With this method, your body can be fully steamed while your head remains cool. In Ayurveda, it is believed that the eyes and head should be protected from overheating. This is most beneficial after the massage to further relax your body, reduce pain and stiffness. It also promotes the elimination of impurities through the sweat. Hot towels may be used in lieu of steam if required.
