1 Hour Abhyanga (Classical Ayurvedic Full Body Oil Massage) • Full Body massage (Abhyanga) performed with warm black sesame oil or herbal infused oils depending on client’s needs. Massage is performed with long strokes of pressure as required for the client’s condition and is a means for transdermal absorption of the healing properties of herbal oils. • Ayurvedic massage is a combination of relaxation, bodily system balancing, marma, meridian and lymphatic drainage massage. Since we do cover the whole body during 1 Hour, there is limited specific deep tissue work done during this massage. This is more of a classical Ayurvedic oil massage as performed in Ayurvedic hospitals in India intended to impart healing warm oils with the long flowy strokes. This massage is deeply relaxing for the nervous system and incredible for lymphatic drainage. If you would like more deep tissue specific work, choose our: - 75min deep tissue massage or - 90min deep tissue massage or - 1 hour remedial massage (generally upper body only covered).
