Natural Facelift Method™
A natural approach to facial rejuvenation through advanced facial bodywork and Ayurvedic wisdom
As I moved through my 40s, I became increasingly fascinated by the connection between stress, tension, posture, nervous system health and the way the face ages.
Over years of working as a remedial massage and Ayurvedic therapist, I noticed that many women carry enormous amounts of tension and postural/lifestyle etc. dysfunction through the:
-
jaw
-
scalp
-
neck
-
face
-
upper chest and shoulders
This dysfunction causes various facial tissue changes such as
Fascial Restrictions
Reduced mobility of the connective tissue (fascia) that can contribute to stiffness, facial asymmetry and restricted movement.
Fibrosis (Scar Tissue & Tissue Densification)
Areas of thickened or less mobile tissue that may develop following surgery, injury, inflammation or long-term tension patterns.
Malar Bags (Festoons)
Persistent swelling or fullness over the cheekbones, often associated with changes in connective tissue support, fluid dynamics and ageing.
Under-Eye Puffiness
Fluid congestion and tissue changes contributing to a tired appearance beneath the eyes.
Facial Oedema
Fluid retention within the facial tissues that may contribute to puffiness and reduced facial definition.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Lines associated with natural ageing, repetitive facial expressions, sun exposure and changes in skin elasticity.
Dynamic Wrinkles
Expression lines that become more noticeable with movement, particularly around the forehead, eyes and mouth.
Static Wrinkles
Lines visible even when the face is at rest.
Jaw Tension
Overactivity of the masseter and surrounding muscles, commonly associated with stress, clenching and grinding.
Bruxism
Teeth grinding or clenching, often contributing to facial tension, headaches and enlargement of the jaw muscles.
TMJ Dysfunction
Restriction or discomfort around the temporomandibular joint that may influence jaw movement and surrounding muscle tension.
Platysma Tightness
Increased tension through the platysma muscle that can contribute to neck tightness and changes in jawline definition.
Forward Head Posture
Postural changes that may influence tension throughout the neck, jaw and facial tissues.
Neck & Décolleté Tightness
Restriction through the neck and upper chest that may influence facial posture and movement.
Loss of Tissue Mobility
Reduced ability of facial tissues to glide freely, often associated with ageing, stress and accumulated fascial tension.
Facial Asymmetry
Natural differences between the two sides of the face that may become more noticeable due to muscular imbalance, posture or tissue restrictions.
Reduced Facial Definition
Softening of the jawline, cheeks or neck associated with changes in tissue support and mobility.
Lymphatic Congestion
Reduced lymphatic drainage that may contribute to puffiness and a feeling of heaviness in the face.
Scalp Restrictions
Tightness within the scalp fascia that may influence the forehead, temples and overall facial tension.
Chronic Facial Muscle Tension
Long-standing holding patterns affecting the forehead, temples, cheeks, jaw and neck.
I wanted to create a treatment that worked differently from conventional facials — one that addressed the deeper muscular, fascial and nervous system patterns underneath the face.
At 46, my own approach to ageing has focused on supporting skin health, circulation, stress reduction and overall vitality naturally, without invasive cosmetic procedures.
The Rainbow Parakeet Natural Face Lift Method™ was born from this philosophy:
Helping women look fresher, brighter and more lifted naturally through therapeutic touch, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release and Ayurvedic therapy.
The Natural Facelift Method™ is my signature facial rejuvenation treatment, combining advanced myofascial facial bodywork with Ayurvedic principles to help naturally sculpt, soften and restore your face while supporting your overall wellbeing.
My Approach
Every woman is different.
Every face carries tension differently.
That's why every treatment is personalised, there is truly no set sequence.
Your first appointment begins with a conversation about your goals, health history and any areas of concern.
I'll also observe how your face, neck and shoulders hold tension so your treatment can be tailored specifically to you.
As we work together, each session builds on the previous one and evolves according to how your tissues respond.
Your Personalised Treatment May Include
Depending on your individual needs, your treatment may include a combination of:
Myofascial Facial Bodywork
-
Deep myofascial release of the face
-
Neck and platysma release
-
Shoulder release
-
Décolleté and pectoral fascia release
-
Scalp myofascial release
Advanced Facial Techniques
-
Intraoral (Buccal) Massage
-
Intranasal Release (where appropriate and with your informed consent)
-
Osteofascial (bone) techniques
-
Cosmetic vacuum cupping
-
Gua Sha facial sculpting
-
Aesthetic kinesiology taping
Ayurvedic & Holistic Therapies
-
Manual lymphatic drainage
-
Ayurvedic Marma Therapy to balance energy, calm the nervous system and encourage deep relaxation
-
Breath awareness and nervous system regulation
Every session is adapted according to your individual needs and comfort.
Your Treatment Journey
Everyone ages differently, and every face responds differently.
For many clients, I recommend beginning with an initial series of around six weekly treatments to allow the tissues time to respond and adapt.
Depending on your age, tissue quality and personal goals, you may benefit from a shorter or longer treatment programme.
Once you've achieved your desired outcome, many clients choose to return every 3–4 weeks to help maintain tissue mobility, reduce accumulated tension and support healthy ageing over time.
Client Case Study
Lisa's Journey (58 y.o.)
Initial Presentation
Lisa came to me wanting a natural way to support healthy ageing without injectables or surgery. Her goal was to achieve a fresher, more defined appearance while maintaining her natural facial features.
During her initial consultation, I observed:
-
Mild softening of the jawline with reduced definition between the jaw and neck.
-
Slight fullness beneath the chin, contributing to a less defined chin-to-neck angle.
-
Mild heaviness through the lower face.
-
Noticeable tension through the neck, shoulders and upper chest.
-
Restricted mobility through the pectoral fascia and tissues associated with the platysma, which forms a continuous connection between the upper chest, neck and lower face.
-
Reduced tissue mobility through the face, neck and scalp, consistent with long-standing tension patterns.
Because the platysma extends from the chest and clavicle region into the jaw and lower face, Lisa's treatment focused on releasing tension through the pectoral region, décolleté, neck and shoulders—not just the face itself. My aim was to improve tissue mobility throughout this interconnected fascial and muscular system, helping to support more balanced facial movement and natural facial definition.
Lisa's Personalised Treatment
Over six treatments, Lisa's programme included a combination of:
-
Deep myofascial release of the pectoral region, décolleté, neck and shoulders
-
Platysma and cervical fascia release
-
Deep facial myofascial release
-
Intraoral (Buccal) Massage
-
Scalp myofascial release
-
Osteofascial techniques
-
Cosmetic vacuum cupping
-
Gua Sha facial sculpting
-
Manual lymphatic drainage
-
Ayurvedic Marma Therapy
-
Aesthetic kinesiology taping
After six personalised treatments, Lisa's photographs suggest:
✓ Improved jawline definition
✓ More defined neck contour
✓ Better definition beneath the chin
✓ Reduced appearance of heaviness through the lower face
✓ Improved facial balance
✓ A more relaxed, refreshed appearance
While every client's results are unique, Lisa's journey beautifully demonstrates the gradual changes that can occur when we work with the body's natural tissues over time.
Recommended Ongoing Care
Following her initial programme, I recommended that Lisa continue with maintenance treatments every 3–4 weeks to help maintain tissue mobility, manage the build-up of facial and neck tension and continue supporting healthy ageing naturally.
As with all my clients, future treatment frequency will always depend on individual goals, tissue response and lifestyle.
Lisa's Testimonial
"I've just completed 6 weeks of deep tissue Buccal Techniques with Alena and will most certainly continue with monthly facial massages.
I'm keen to age at my best but in a non-chemical, non-intrusive way—as naturally as possible.
These massages are extremely releasing of tension held in the face and upper body, including the arms, clavicle, neck and shoulders. I come away feeling lighter and much more aware of my body and how my muscles sit beneath my skin.
I realise, being in my late 50s, that this isn't a quick fix and it won't stop me ageing. But my hope is that it continues to help re-sculpt how I hold tension, giving me a healthier and naturally rejuvenated complexion.
To me, it's like a deep tissue remedial massage specifically for the face—highly therapeutic and truly holistic.
I highly recommend Alena. She is warm, knowledgeable and incredibly skilled. She always gives 100% and I love the way she continually researches and refines her work with genuine integrity."
